Peer Review Process

Al-IBROH: Jurnal Ilmu Pendidikan dan Keguruan applies a rigorous double-blind peer review process to ensure the quality and integrity of all published research articles.

General Principles

  • Each submitted manuscript is independently reviewed by at least two qualified peer reviewers.
  • The decision to publish, request revisions, or reject is based on the reviewers’ reports and recommendations.
  • If two or more reviewers recommend that a manuscript is unsuitable for publication, a statement outlining the basis for the decision will be sent to the author(s) within three months of the submission date.
  • All manuscripts are reviewed in accordance with the journal’s guidelines and criteria for high-quality research articles.
  • For manuscripts requiring revision, the same reviewers will reassess the revised version to ensure that it meets the journal’s standards.
  • The journal strives to maintain high peer review standards while improving process efficiency.

Key Features of the Peer Review Process

  • Expert Review – All research articles are reviewed by at least two experts with appropriate qualifications in the relevant field.
  • Editorial Decision – The final decision on publication is made by the Editor-in-Chief based on the reviewers’ evaluations.
  • Editorial Board Input – Members of the International Editorial Board provide general advice, suggestions, and guidance to the Editor-in-Chief, and may assist in decisions on specific manuscripts.
  • Administrative Support – Managing Editors and Editorial Assistants provide administrative support to ensure the integrity and efficiency of the peer review process for authors, reviewers, and editors.
  • Referral Review – The journal benefits from high-quality peer review processes conducted by leading journals when manuscripts are referred for consideration.

Peer Review of Referred Manuscripts

For manuscripts referred from other journals:

  • The Editor will decide promptly whether to accept, reject, or request revision based on the external peer review reports and editorial considerations from the referring journal.
  • Additional peer review may be requested if deemed necessary.
  • Authors will be notified if further review is required.

Peer Review of Direct Submissions

For manuscripts submitted directly to Al-IBROH:

  • The manuscript will undergo full double-blind peer review by at least two qualified experts appointed by the Editor-in-Chief.
  • The Editor-in-Chief or a designated Editorial Board member will decide whether to accept, reject, or request revision based on the reviewers’ reports and comments.
  • Editors evaluate whether the research is well-conducted and whether conclusions are supported by the data presented.
  • Priority considerations are not a deciding factor; however, each manuscript must provide a significant contribution or new findings to the existing literature.
