Plagiarism Screening

To maintain academic integrity and avoid plagiarism, all submitted manuscripts will be screened using Turnitin and Premium Grammarly® before further review.

Authors must ensure that their work is entirely original. If authors use the work and/or words of others, proper acknowledgment and citation must be provided.

Al-IBROH: Jurnal Ilmu Pendidikan dan Keguruan employs Turnitin to check the similarity index prior to making a decision on the acceptance of a manuscript. Articles submitted to the journal — including those translated into English for the Al-IBROH Journal — must have a similarity score below 20% to be considered for publication.

Forms of Plagiarism

  1. Word-for-Word Plagiarism
Copying another author’s text verbatim without quotation marks or proper citation.

  2. Source Plagiarism
Using another person’s ideas without adequate acknowledgment or explicit reference to the source.

  3. Plagiarism of Authorship
Presenting another person’s work as one’s own.

  4. Self-Plagiarism
Republishing the same work in more than one journal or recycling one’s own previously published work without substantial modification.

    • When citing one’s own prior work, the new article must include significant changes and original contributions.

    • The earlier work should only form a minor part of the new manuscript so that readers can obtain new insights from the developments made by the author(s).
