Journal History
Al-IBROH: Jurnal Ilmu Pendidikan dan Keguruan is a peer-reviewed academic journal that exclusively publishes research-based manuscripts. Submissions must focus on Islamic education to ensure consistency with the journal’s aims and scope. Areas of interest include, but are not limited to, Islamic Education Management, Philosophy of Islamic Education, Islamic Religious Education Curriculum, Media and Learning in Islamic Education, and other related fields. The journal is published biannually, in June and December. Manuscripts are welcomed from lecturers, teachers, students, and the wider academic community, provided they comply with the journal’s submission guidelines.
The establishment of this journal was driven by the need to foster a stronger academic environment and to support scholarly publications at STIT PL Gunung Tua. Initiated in 2023 with a well-developed conceptual framework, the journal released its inaugural issue in February 2024. To improve publication quality, the regular schedule was set for June and December editions.
One of the journal’s primary objectives is to achieve reputable accreditation. In pursuit of this goal, significant improvements were made in August 2025, including a transition from footnote to body note citation style to ensure a more concise and reader-friendly manuscript format. Since 15 November 2024, the journal has been registered with an e-ISSN by BRIN (ISSN: 3064-1020; Decree No. 30641020/II.7.4/SK.ISSN/11/2024). The next strategic target is to obtain accreditation from SINTA.
