Author Guidelines
Manuscript Submission Guidelines
Please ensure that you follow the guidelines below when preparing your manuscript. Submissions that do not conform to these requirements will be returned for revision and may delay the publication process. Article length: 7,000–9,000 words.
Manuscript Preparation Requirements
- Manuscripts must be submitted in Microsoft Word format.
- Articles may be written in:
- English or Indonesian — Times New Roman, 12 pt, 1.5 line spacing, A4 paper size.
- Arabic — Traditional Arabic, 14 pt, single spacing.
- Use third-person point of view (e.g., “the author/researcher”), not first-person pronouns (“I” or “we”).
- Originality: Only original manuscripts that have not been previously published and are not under review elsewhere will be accepted.
- Revision of published work: Not permitted. To be considered original, at least 80% of the content must be new, with no more than 200 consecutive words taken from previously published works (even if cited).
- Plagiarism check: All manuscripts will be screened using plagiarism detection software. Ensure that all external sources are properly cited and paraphrased. Manuscripts found with plagiarism will be returned for correction and may be rejected.
Article Writing Format
Title
- Short and specific, maximum of 15 words.
- Use title case: Capitalize the first letter of each major word, except prepositions (e.g., for, as), conjunctions (e.g., and, with), and articles (e.g., a, the).
- Always capitalize the first word and the first word after a colon.
- Avoid writing in ALL CAPITALS.
Abstract
- Written concisely and clearly, 150–200 words.
- Must include: Issue (problem statement), Rule (theory or assumed condition), Argument (analysis or discussion), and Conclusion (findings and implications).
Keywords
- 3–5 keywords or keyword phrases.
Structure of Empirical Research Articles
Introduction
Includes background, literature review (to build the state of the art), objectives, and research questions. Written as one section without subheadings.
Method
Describes the research type, data collection techniques, data sources, types of data, and data analysis methods. Written in paragraph form.
Results and Discussion
Presents key (original) data obtained from questionnaires, surveys, documents, interviews, observations, or other data collection techniques. May be supported by tables or figures for clarity.
Conclusion
Written concisely, summarizing the main findings, followed by logical implications for the development of Islamic education theory and practice. Written without indentation, in bold Times New Roman 12 pt.
References
Follow APA 7th Edition referencing style, managed using Mendeley or Zotero.
Figures
- Maximum of 15 figures per manuscript.
- Ensure copyright permissions are obtained for third-party images.
Mathematical Equations
- Use MathType (trial version available for download).
- Direct typing in Word is allowed if symbols are compatible.
References
- Follow APA 7th Edition style.
- Minimum of 25 sources.
- Self-citation must not exceed 60% of the total references.
- References that do not meet formatting requirements will be returned for revision.
