Peer Review Process

Lentera Ilmu : Jurnal Kependidikan, Riset dan Teoritis applies a double-blind peer review process. Manuscripts are sent to multiple reviewers (selected according to their expertise in the relevant field) for evaluation based on the journal’s guidelines and the characteristics of high-quality scholarly work. For manuscripts requiring revisions, the same reviewers will be reassigned to ensure that the quality of the revised version meets the journal’s standards.

The journal maintains rigorous peer review standards while also striving to improve the efficiency of the review process.

All research articles published in Lentera Ilmu: Jurnal Kependidikan, Riset dan Teoritis undergo a full peer review process, with the following key characteristics:

  1. All research articles are reviewed by at least two experts with relevant qualifications in the field.
  2. The final publication decision rests solely with the Editor-in-Chief, based on the reviewers’ recommendations.
  3. Members of the International Editorial Board provide general advice, suggestions, and guidance to the Editor-in-Chief, and may assist in decision-making for specific manuscripts.
  4. Managing Editors and Editorial Assistants provide administrative support that ensures the integrity of the peer review process while enabling an efficient workflow for authors, reviewers, and editors.
  5. The journal also benefits from a manuscript referral process, whereby high-quality peer reviews conducted by reputable journals are utilized to enhance the evaluation process.

Peer Review for Referred Manuscripts

The editors of Lentera Ilmu will promptly decide whether to accept, reject, or request revisions for referred manuscripts, based on the reviews and editorial considerations from the referring journal. Additionally, the editors may request further reviews if deemed necessary. Authors will be notified if additional evaluation is required.

Peer Review for Direct Submissions

Articles submitted directly to Lentera Ilmu will undergo a full review by at least two experts with relevant qualifications, selected by the Editor-in-Chief. Based on the reviewers’ reports and comments, the Editor-in-Chief or an appointed member of the Editorial Board will decide whether to accept, reject, or request revisions.

The editors will determine whether each manuscript presents well-conducted research and whether the conclusions are supported by the presented data. While the level of priority will not be a deciding factor, each manuscript must provide additional contribution or novelty to the existing body of literature.
